Is powder-coat or enamel paint better for outdoor metal?

Powder-coat is the more durable option and is the industry standard for outdoor metal. It is factory-applied, baked at 200°C, and provides 10+ years of UV and weather resistance. Enamel paint is on-site applied, faster, and cheaper, but typically needs repainting every 3–5 years. For landed house grilles, gates, and railings we always recommend powder-coat. Enamel is suitable for hidden structural items or quick touch-ups.
Can you match the colour of my existing grilles and gates?

We can usually match common powder-coat colours (black, grey, white, dark green) by sending a sample to the powder-coater. For custom colours (e.g. a specific RAL code or a metallic finish), we can order a custom powder-coat batch. There may be a small setup fee for custom colours and a longer lead time. Bring us a sample or a colour code and we will quote accordingly.
Do you do emergency welding repairs?

Yes. We offer same-day emergency welding for landed houses and shoplots in KL & Selangor (subject to availability). Common emergencies: broken gate hinge, snapped grille bar, collapsed railing, vehicle impact on gate. We bring a portable welding machine and can usually complete the repair on site within 1–3 hours.
What is hot-dip galvanising and do I need it?

Hot-dip galvanising is a factory process where steel is dipped in molten zinc to create a thick, durable, anti-corrosion coating. It is recommended for outdoor structural items that will be exposed to rain and humidity for years (e.g. main gate, fence post, structural beam). It adds about RM 3–5 per kg to the cost and 3–5 days to the lead time, but extends the lifespan of outdoor metal by 2–3x. We recommend galvanising for all outdoor structural items.
