How do I choose between swing, sliding, and folding autogate?

Swing gates are the most common and affordable, but they need clearance for the gate to swing (about 90° opening). Sliding gates are best when the driveway is narrow or the gate would hit an obstruction when swung open. Folding gates are for very narrow entries where neither swing nor sliding fits. We always do a site survey before recommending — the choice depends on your driveway geometry, slope, and available space.
Will the gate work during a power outage?

Standard autogates will not open during a power outage unless a battery backup is installed. We strongly recommend a battery backup (typically RM 350–500) which keeps the gate functional for 8–24 hours of typical use. Alternatively, all our motor installations include a manual release key so you can unlock the gate manually from the inside during an outage.
Can you automate my existing manual gate?

Yes, in most cases. As long as the gate is in good condition (not warped, not heavily rusted) and the hinges are solid, we can add a motor. We may need to upgrade the hinges, add a centre stop, or replace a wooden gate with a steel frame for reliability. We do a site assessment and tell you upfront if the existing gate is suitable.
What maintenance does an autogate need?

We recommend a 6-monthly service: lubricate hinges and moving parts, check motor brushes (for brushed motors), test safety sensors, check battery backup if installed, and re-test the full open/close cycle. Our maintenance visit starts from RM 180 and includes a written condition report. A well-maintained autogate typically lasts 8–12 years before the motor needs replacement.
