An auto gate remote that stops working is almost never a mystery: it is one of four things — a weak CR2032 battery, a corroded receiver antenna under the control board, a remote whose code was wiped after a motor reset, or a failing control board. The pattern tells you which. One remote dying is usually the battery; several remotes failing at once points at the receiver or board; and a gate that opens by itself is a security problem that should be treated as urgent, because it usually means the receiver is misfiring and the gate could open for a stranger as easily as for you.
