How to plan the inside
A useful split for one working adult is roughly:
- One hanging bay for shirts and trousers.
- One long-hang bay if you keep dresses or robes.
- Drawers for folded clothes (shallower than a deep cupboard).
- A high shelf for luggage and spare bedding.
Couples usually need more drawer width than they expect. Children need lower hanging and fewer deep top shelves.

Materials that survive KL humidity
- Plywood carcass for sides, shelves and drawer boxes that take weight.
- Laminate doors for daily wipe-down.
- Mirror doors to visually widen a small bedroom — the carcass still needs to be rigid.
- Avoid raw MDF shelves next to a sweating window unless they are fully sealed.
Edge banding is not cosmetic. Open edges take monsoon humidity first.
How installation is done
- Measure — width, height, depth, ceiling bulkhead, window, and socket positions.
- Drawing and quote — door type, internals, finish, hardware brand.
- Workshop — usually 2–3 weeks after you approve the drawing.
- Install — typically 1–2 days for one bedroom wardrobe.
- Handover — doors aligned, rails load-tested by hand, site vacuumed.
