What a Chemical Wash Does
A pressure chemical wash uses an alkaline or anti-microbial solution to clean the evaporator coil, blower wheel and drain without fully removing the unit from the wall. It is the standard fix for a musty smell, mild water dripping and reduced cooling after 6–12 months of use.

What a Chemical Overhaul Does
An overhaul removes the entire unit from the wall, dismantles it, and deep-cleans every part individually — coil, blower, fan casing and drain pan. It is the definitive fix for chronic water leaks and heavily clogged units.
Chemical overhaul starts from RM 286 for a 1.0–1.5 HP unit.
How to Choose
- Choose a chemical wash when the unit cools but smells slightly, drips occasionally, or has simply gone too long without a clean.
- Choose a chemical overhaul when the unit leaks water constantly, has not been serviced for years, or a chemical wash failed to fix it.
