Gas top-up is one of the most misunderstood aircon services, so here is exactly how it works.
Gas Prices Per PSI
- R22 refrigerant: RM 2.50 per PSI
- R410A refrigerant: RM 3.00 per PSI
- R32 refrigerant: RM 3.00 per PSI
Gas top-up is charged on the actual PSI required after the technician inspects on site. We only refill the amount needed, and a structural leak check (from RM 114) is included.
Why a Leak Check Matters
Refrigerant does not simply "run out". If your unit is low on gas, there is almost always a leak somewhere in the system. Topping up without finding the leak means the gas will escape again — often within weeks.
When Gas Top-Up Isn't the Fix
If the unit is not cold because of a dirty coil or failing compressor, adding gas will not help and may waste your money. A proper diagnosis first tells you whether you need gas, a chemical wash, or a part replacement.
