What size aircon do I need for my room?
As a rule of thumb, Malaysian rooms need roughly 60 BTU per square foot. A 150 sq ft bedroom needs about 9,000 BTU (1.0–1.5 HP), while a 250 sq ft living room needs about 15,000 BTU (2.0 HP). High ceilings and west-facing sun add 15–20%.
