Ice on the coil or the copper pipes is the aircon telling you the coil is running colder than it should — and in a Malaysian climate that is never normal, because the unit is supposed to be removing heat, not freezing the room's humidity onto a tin plate. The chain is usually one of: low refrigerant (a slow leak has dropped the gas charge), a blocked coil or filter that starves the coil of air, a blower fan turning too slowly, or a temperature sensor reading wrong. Each one pulls the coil temperature down until the moisture in the room's air condenses and freezes on it. The unit then stops cooling, drips as the ice melts, and re-freezes when you switch it back on — a loop that will quietly damage the compressor if it runs for weeks.
